Mission Statement:
Wildfire Hearts, Hands and Feet burns the way clear between help and need through education, collaboration and documentation to bring comfort and aid to orphans, widows and families broken due to unwanted circumstances and gives the willing heart the hands and feet to know need as the opportunity to make a difference that matters.
You may feel overwhelmed by the unending enormity of need. Do you doubt that what you can do would make a significant difference in your life or in the lives of others? Would you like more clear evidence of need and help in action before you get involved?
How does Wildfire Hearts, Hands and Feet approach its mission? Wildfire does so by clearly demonstrating the persistent need of others and clearing misconceptions about hardship. Leaders from a broad range of experience will provide their expertise through guest lectures, presentations and projects that will collectively paint an intimate picture of the lives and circumstances of those we are working to help.
This is what the Lord says:
“Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls.
Wildfire Hearts, Hands and Feet initial focus includes the need of orphans and widows of Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda and children living in long term foster care in our local communities.
We learn about specific need and the circumstances resulting in the need. We learn about how we can help and why it is important that we do help. We deliver comfort and aid and track, document and assess our aid in action.
Program Profile:
Wildfire Hearts, Hands and Feet
After-school program explores the lives of target recipients through creative collaboration projects and presentations enabling children to learn about need through knowledge and connection to the lives of the recipient children.
Guest lecturers and project presenters include teachers, professionals in art, health, history, government, geography, charitable organizations and others who will conduct age appropriate insightful presentations that will richly inform participants. Lectures are recorded and available to the public.
Each year closes with an awareness and fundraising auction of the amazing donor-recipient children’s art collaborations. The children learn of each other and build a sense of community with each other and we all have the opportunity to be a part of it.
